I really think hospitality should evaluate themselves.
Usually there are four hospitality members per mass this last weekend I counted 9+ hospitality people. I'm not saying we should have 4 and thats it, no more no less, but i really don't think 9+ people is necessary. And while i'm on that topic maybe we should talk about "talking in the back." Yeah we all have different ways of absorbing mass and listening to the word, but i don't think "talking to other people" is one of them. Yeah, you maybe listening to the word and getting into mass by talking to other people some how, hey maybe your asking questions, but are you distracting other people? Especially people other than CYM. Does that cause people to look down on CYM? Oh yeah and another thing about that too. Just because your in back doesn't mean we can't see you.
Another thing to is greeters at the beginning of mass. I know some of the hospitality members are really there to greet and do a great job doing it, but a lot of the time there is just a huge group of people just talking and messing around in the front. What kind of image does that give off to visitors of our church? What kind of image does that give off to us as CYM?
Going along with image, are we dressing appropriately? Yeah we said the "No Jeans" thing a couple of times, and it is understandable to forget maybe once or twice, but all the time. I know some of you really want to serve God, which is great, more power to you. And i know sometimes you don't expect to serve that day but you just get thrown in it because we just need the help or you just feel really moved at that moment to help out, which is fine, and I know some of you new people don't even know about this rule. But can we please check ourselves on what we wear, and i'm not just talk about jeans. Shirts with certain prints that my be inapproprate or showing excessive skin and or body parts i.e. the stomach region.
One last thing, this goes along with "talking in the back" Some people aren't helping out at all, but are just standing back there just to be with friends or just to stand back there to look "cool." Maybe we should sit and be apart of the community of mass. But if that is your way of fully getting into mass, then hey, stay back there. But you are really welcome to sit in the pews with the rest of the community. I find i am able to get into mass more when i'm sitting close. But again that is just me.
I'm not trying to say any of this sarcastically at all. This is just the way I write, sorry if i do sound sarcastic though. I am really serious about these topics and i do wish we would try to work on them.

Thank you for the constructive critisim. I know people have been getting on hospitality to shape up more than once or twice T_T...and i noticed the overstaffed doors was a bit too much too...I'm just happy that i read this here before next sunday...drat tommorow is sunday...ill make calls and try to get everyone to dress up and give Limited hospitality positions in prority of those properly dressed and those who need hours for Conformation class...If you have any other suggestions on how we can improve I'll be happy to listen... -Edit- Wow? Even though i did not know that that post was made about...i donno...2 years ago...it seems hospitality still has the same problems...so similar that i thought that post was recent...
